How we raise funds

We have been lucky to have received some very generous donations from our supporters over the last few years. We are incredibly grateful to each and everyone of them. Our supporters have contributed enormously to the research that is working towards identifying better treatments and a cure for PAH. Read on to find out more about our PAH charity fundraising;

Daylesford event

Archie’s Dinosaur Drawing – Age 11

Every other year we hold a charity dinner and dance event in the beautiful setting of Daylesford in Gloucestershire. Our first fundraising event at Daylesford was held in 2013; we have an incredible community of friends who love to support us.

For each event, there is a silent and live auction held by Sotheby’s. Archie’s dinosaur pictures are always the final auction lot. This is why we decided to call our charity The Dinosaur Trust. In just four events we have raised more than £1.5 million.

We’re fortunate to have had the live auction held by Sotheby’s Chairman of Europe, Oliver Barker. We’re equally lucky to have the support of Lord and Lady Bamford, who provide the beautiful venue and a team of wonderful staff for our events.

Community Fundraising

We have a truly wonderful community who continue to give their time and energy to put together their own fundraising events to raise money for The Dinosaur Trust. All funds raised go towards funding research projects that will make a real difference to those with PAH.

There are so many ways to raise funds. We’ve had donations from people running cake sales and pub quizzes as well as very generous donations from businesses. We’re so grateful to each and everyone of our supporters. If you’d like our support in running your own PAH charity fundraising event please do get in touch by emailing info@thedinosaurtrust.com . Charity challenge events

We recently announced that our Founder and Chairman, Jamie Strachan had committed to taking part in the Everest In The Alps Challenge in 2021 to raise further funds for research into finding a cure for PAH.

Following the recent tightening of restrictions, the difficult decision has been made to cancel Everest in the Alps for this year . It is with a heavy heart that we must turn the page on EIA 2021. We hope to be back and ready to tackle EIA in 2022!

We are busy working behind the scenes to secure places in many of the marathons, half marathons and other fundraising events that will be taking place around the country. If you are interested in taking part in an event to raise funds for The Dinosaur Trust, please get in touch with us info@thedinosaurtrust.com .

Donations

As is the case for many charities, donations are absolutely crucial for us. We are committed to keeping our running costs low so we can fund as much research into finding a cure for PAH as we possibly can!

We are so grateful to the many organisations, families and individuals that have donated to us and continue to support us.
