Patients are at the heart of everything we do
For both The Dinosaur Trust and The PVRI, the wellbeing and experience of patients is fundamental. For this reason, The PVRI set up a new initiative to encourage better communication between scientists, researchers and patients.
Jamie, The Dinosaur Trust Chairman, has recently taken on the role of Patient Representative for The PVRI’s newly launched Innovative Drug Development Initiative. We hope to be able to share news of new developments with the PH community and also provide valuable feedback to scientists and researchers.
Patient representation, when it comes to drug developments, can be a game-changer in so many ways. For example encouraging scientists to find ways of making medication that is currently taken intravenously into a medication that can be taken orally would significantly improve the lives of patients and their families. The improvements that could be made are endless.
We strongly believe that Jamie’s involvement in this PVRI initiative will help to drive forward clinical trials and the development of drugs that will make a difference to patients’ lives in the future. Watch this space for updates.
